He used to kill as

many Chinese as possible

said Drakpa, talking about

his father

 

He killed over 80.

He fought in the mountains of Kham

for years.

It was his duty

to Tibetans

and Buddhism.

I met him a few times.

He was in his 70s, but tall

and strong. His eyes seemed blue

and luminous. You could detect

the pain of losing everything

and the joy of having made it, still

surviving. The joy of

contributing to the welfare of

himself and others, but

with desperate methods.

He made it.

And his eyes

shone with the blue sky

of Tibet
